A solemn celebration organised by Johanniter Germany with more than 250 high-ranking guests from politics, civil society and befriended NGO’s took place in Berlin. Our JOIN Chairman Johannes Bucher was also present. Johanniter Germany paid tribute to its former President, Dr Arnold von Rümker, who stayed four years in the position after a long-standing commitment at regional and federal level. His successor, Dr hc Frank-Jürgen Weise, was formally introduced by the Herrenmeister of the Johanniter Order, HRH Oscar Prince of Prussia.

Johannes Bucher thanked Dr Arnold von Rümker for his commitment to Johanniter International as former Board member and Chairman. He welcomed Dr Weise on behalf of JOIN and looks forward to further collaboration. The Federal Minister of Defence, Ursula von der Leyen, also took the floor to express the fruitful cooperation she has built with the new President.
